How does laser removal work? A. The safest and most effect tattoo removal method today is by a laser that emits fast pulses of light energy to shatter tattoo ink into smaller particles, which is then removed through your immune system, while not damaging the surrounding skin. The laser is calibrated to shatter one colour at a time.
How many treatments will I need? A. The number of treatments varies from person to person depending on size of tattoo, lifestyle habits, characteristics of the ink and the location on the body. Most people report needing 6-9 sessions spread 6-8 weeks apart to remove the tattoo ink.
How much will removing my tattoo cost? A. Compared to the majority of businesses offering this service we are very reasonably priced. We charge you buy the session. Depending on if you just need your tattoo faded for a cover up or if you want it fully removed will determine how many sessions you require. It could be a little as 2 sessions or as many as 6-8 but your consultation will help determine what is right for you and wht the cost per session will be.
Does laser tattoo removal treatment hurt? A. The procedure is a painful one as the ink is being shattered in the secondary layer of skin (the dermis). However, with the application of a strong numbing cream, the procedure is more than tolerable since the pain does not linger after the treatment is completed. With the proper application, it can be comparable to getting a tattoo. Unlike a tattoo with a consistent lingering pain, the pain from laser tattoo removal is temporary and only felt during the procedure. After the session is done you'll only have a warm feeling on your skin.
How long will it take to heal? A. Healing of the treated area is quicker than a tattoo as the only thing penetrating the skin is energy. There is 72 hours of active healing and you’re fully healed between 2-3 weeks depending on the size of the area we’re treating. Before doing the next laser session on the same area it is best to wait 6-8 weeks.
Can laser treatment remove tattoos completely? A. YES! However complete removal is it not guaranteed, as not all tattoos are created the same. We will absolutely work together to achieve the best results.
Is the procedure dangerous or harmful? A. With the appropriate laser and trained professional, the procedure is not only safe, but has the best track record for unharmed or damaged skin.
